چکیده
Salinity may strongly influence the interaction between plant roots and surrounding soil, but this has been poorly studied for sodium sulfate (Na2SO4). The aim of study was to investigate effect chloride (NaCl) Na2SO4 salinities on soil chemical properties as well rice physiological- yield-related parameters two contrasted cultivars (V14 (salt-sensitive) Pokkali (salt-resistant)). Pot experiments were conducted using electrolyte solutions, namely NaCl Na2SO4, inducing electrical conductivity levels (EC: 5 or 10 dS m−1) solutions. control treatment water with salt-free tap water. Our results showed that pH increased under salinity, while EC level saline stress increased. induced an increase in Na+ concentrations solid complex solution. reduced stomatal density salt-sensitive cultivar. total protein contents grain higher V14 than Saline significantly affected all more toxic most parameters. exhibited a tolerance V14, whatever considered type salt. It is concluded different types salts differently responses those differences partly depend salt-resistance

Biochemical and Anatomical Changes and Yield Reduction in Rice (Oryza sativa L.) under Varied Salinity Regimes
Five Malaysian rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties, MR33, MR52, MR211, MR219, and MR232, were tested in pot culture under different salinity regimes for biochemical response, physiological activity, and grain yield. Three different levels of salt stresses, namely, 4, 8, and 12 dS m(-1), were used in a randomized complete block design with four replications under glass house conditions. The results...
متن کاملEffect of salinity stress on growth and carbohydrate metabolism in three rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars differing in salinity tolerance.
Rice seedlings cv. Khao Dawk Mali 105 (salt-sensitive), Luang Anan (moderately salt-tolerant) and Pokkali (salt-tolerant) were exposed to 0, 50, 100 and 150 mM NaCI for 9 d. Salinity stress caused reduction in leaf relative water contents in all cultivars. Shoot length of cv. Pokkali was least affected by salinity stress whereas increased root length in response to salinity stress was apparent ...

The study was conducted to evaluate the extent of variability among the small grain aromatic (SGA) rice (Oryza sativa L.) genotypes for yield and yield components. Twenty four popular SGA rice genotypes were evaluated for yield and yield contributing characters in BRAC Agricultural Research and Development Centre, Gazipur, Bangladesh. BRRI dhan34 was used as check variety. Highest grain yield p...
متن کاملIdentification of production constraints and yield gap monitoring of local rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars in Mazandaran province
One of the main problems for rice production is the large difference between farmers' actual yields and attainable yields. Therefore, it is important to identify the limiting factors on yield and yield gap. In this research, all performed management practices from seedbed preparation to harvesting in 228 paddy fields of local rice cultivars in the east, central and west parts of Mazandaran prov...
